Understanding Casino
Casino games fall into two broad families. Slot machines rely entirely on a random number generator, while table games such as roulette, blackjack and baccarat follow fixed rules in which the player sometimes makes decisions. In every case, the rules are designed so the house keeps a mathematical edge over time. Our pages describe those rules in plain terms; return rates and other figures are only quoted with their official source.
At the casino, a round often lasts a few seconds, and sessions stretch out without you noticing. Set a time limit and a spending limit before you start, and stop when you reach either one. See also our Responsible gaming page.
