Slot machines

Overview

A slot machine shows reels of symbols; a random number generator sets the outcome the moment you start a spin. Winning combinations are defined by paylines or other mechanics (clusters, repeating symbols).

A machine is never “due” to pay: each spin is independent. Some games are linked to a progressive jackpot that grows with every bet. Spins follow one another in seconds, which is why time and budget limits matter.

Rules and how it works

• Choose your bet per spin, and sometimes the number of active lines.
• Start the spin: the outcome is set by the random number generator.
• Check the game’s paytable to see what each combination is worth.
• Bonus features (free spins, multipliers) vary from one title to another.

Minimum age

In Québec, buying lottery tickets and taking part in games of chance is restricted to people 18 and over.
