Overview
BC/49 is the regional 6/49 lottery of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), sold only in British Columbia, including online at PlayNow. It is not available through Loto-Québec.
Draws take place at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The $2,000,000 jackpot is shared when there is more than one winning selection. Unlike some other 6/49 games, two matching numbers on their own win nothing; you also need the bonus number.
Rules and how it works
- A $1 play includes 1 selection of 6 numbers from 1 to 49, picked by you or at random.
- You win with 3 or more matching numbers, or 2 matching numbers plus the bonus number.
- The $2,000,000 jackpot (6/6) is won or shared; the 5/6+B prize is $75,000.
- On PlayNow, sales close at 7:21 p.m. Pacific Time, ahead of the 7:30 p.m. draw.
- Extra can be added for $1: 4 numbers from 1 to 99, with a top prize of $500,000.
Minimum age
In Québec, buying lottery tickets and taking part in games of chance is restricted to people 18 and over.
