Extra

Overview

Extra is never played on its own: it is added to a ticket for another lottery, such as Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 or Banco. The computer assigns a 7-digit number, and the Extra draw takes place every day.

The number can be matched in both directions: digits in the right order counting from the start or from the end can win a prize, even without the full number.

Rules and how it works

• Always paired with another lottery product; it cannot be bought alone.
• Each number has 7 digits from 0 to 9, all computer-generated.
• Up to 10 Extra numbers on a single ticket (except quick-play games).
• The draw builds the winning number digit by digit; it applies to every paired draw game held on the same date.

Minimum age

In Québec, buying lottery tickets and taking part in games of chance is restricted to people 18 and over.
