Single bet

Overview

A single bet covers just one prediction, such as the winner of a game. The potential return is simple to work out: odds times stake. Odds of 2.70 on a $10 stake give a potential return of $27, stake included.

The lower the odds, the more likely the outcome is judged to be and the smaller the win. At Mise-o-jeu in stores, single bets are only available on certain designated questions.

Rules and how it works

• Pick a question and a prediction from the betting offer.
• Enter your stake; potential return = odds × stake.
• If the prediction comes true you receive the potential return; otherwise the stake is lost.

Minimum age

In Québec, buying lottery tickets and taking part in games of chance is restricted to people 18 and over.
