Overview

La Poule aux œufs d’or (“the goose that lays the golden eggs”) is both a scratch ticket and a TV show. Some tickets win a “TV entry”: the winner is then invited to play in the studio and try to find the top prize hidden in an egg.

The ticket comes in three price formats, each with its own odds. The current sales period runs from July 2026 to June 2027.

Rules and how it works

  • Choose a $2, $5 or $10 ticket; each format has its own prize structure.
  • Scratch the ticket: it can win an instant prize or a TV entry.
  • TV entries lead to the show broadcast on Sundays, where you play in person.
  • Bonus prize draws are announced on certain dates during the season.

Minimum age

In Québec, buying lottery tickets and taking part in games of chance is restricted to people 18 and over.
